We did get a bunch of snow yesterday, was quite nice, actually.
I don't know what has happened to weather forecasting, it seems like every time there is the possibility of a storm, it is so over blown. I guess it is good to know about some possible bad outcomes earlier? And that we are properly warned? Feels like we are getting to the point of warning-fatigue. I am getting it, anyway!
Finished "Eyes of the Void" by Adrian Tchalkovsky last night. I quite enjoyed it, and am excited for May 2nd, when the third and final book is released, "Lords of Uncreation".
Also finished volume 10 of "Giant Days" by John Allison. Great graphic novel series, highly recommend. I have been reading it via the Toronto Public Library's digital loans, and Libby app.
Have working on being more intentional with activities i do for myself. I'm starting to keep a list of the things that i enjoy doing, or want to do more of. The more difficult part is then actually doing those things! Making the time, putting in the effort. There are a lot of different takes on the whole "you should/should not schedule your fun", but if i just "go with the flow" all the time, i'm not going to do all the things that are important to me, and give me pleasure.
So, the easy part, the list. Here it is, in no order, right now, January 23rd, 2023.
- Climbing
- Making & Editing Climbing Videos
- Reading
- Video Game playing
- Sailing
- Watching TV/Movies
- Programming
- OneWheeling (in better weather)
- Board Games
- Social meetups with friends
- Sudoku
- Photography
The ones that are hardest for me to setup and do are the social ones. Which are also, probably, the ones with the biggest payoff. Of course.
