I'm going to have to chnage the parameters on this here blog to showing all entries from like a year, unless I get back into the habit.

However, it's been just crazy busy. Here's the best reason why.

Man I was just thinking, "Oh it's June already" — but it's nearly the end of the first week of June! What the heck is going on with time? It's just compressing. Perhaps this is because the universe is still expanding? It can't be age.

And speaking of age, 2.5 week old Adèle is doing really great, not a fussy baby at all, although we joke it's because she's figured that with two small boys in the house she knows it's best not to draw attention to oneself. Clever girl. She's much more alert though, and I'd forgotten how they change almost daily in their appearance. She looks very much like Leighton did at this age, and may have straweberry blonde hair, which would be lovely.

Most of our friends have been pretty good about not bringing us pink stuff, which, while I appreciate the generosity of the gift, I appreciate most of all. That notwithstanding, I've come around a little on "girlier" colours, if for no other reason than at this age it's hard to tell if babies are girls or boys. So I figure we should give people a sign or two and help them out. What's worse than saying, "What a handsome boy" only to get the "Uh, she's a girl actually."

"Right! Handsome little girl!"
