I don't really know what

I don't really know what is going on, but here is another article about sex, "http://www.villagevoice.com/issues/0221/taormino.php">"Pucker Up", this time in the Village Voice. Did you know that dildos are illigal in Texas? Read on for more!

I would like to give a big congratulations to Michael Moore for his award at Cannes for his new film "Bowling for Columbine". I'm looking forward to seeing it.

Ever wanted to read about

Ever wanted to read about fellatio, but never wanted to look like a porno creep at the corner store? Why not read about it at the Yale Daily News "Spit or swallow? It's all about the sauce". Hell, its a respected institution, its gotta be ok!

Here is a little something

Here is a little something eveyone should have, a Baloney Detection Kit. Brought to you by Carl Sagan. Good rules for making decisions and evaluating new ideas.

Hello all - I'm back

| | Comments (0)

Hello all - I'm back from a week in LA at E3. Pretty darn tired, going to take a bit to get back into the swing of things! Something cool that i found was an article talking about ice on Mars. That could lead the way to a live mission to Mars! More to come later...

Its cyberwar man! Hackers target Israel. (what kind of a war is it where nobody gets killed?)

As long as we have

As long as we have nuclear weapons, things like this could ruin your whole day.

Well, here we go. It

Well, here we go. It wasn't that long ago that you trusted photographic evidence. But the home PC and Photoshop has removed any validity of that medium. Now MIT has removed any trust for video too.

Wow, yesterday was pretty crap-tacular

Wow, yesterday was pretty crap-tacular - tho i guess
all the rain was good for the gardens. And it was nice to just kind-of hang
out and read all day. So, basically, it wasn't really all that bad.

New page at 'get your war

New page at 'get your war on'. You must read it. You should read page nine too, if just for this quote - "Sometimes I wish Osama bin Laden was as easy to track down and kill as Canadians!".

And excellent article about the recent events in the Netherlands, and how Blogs can, and are, being used to combat misinformation.

Found an interesting new Structured Text markup language - reST. I've been using zWiki, which using ST, so i've become pretty familiar with ST, and this new "version" has a lot going for it - we are disscussing it over here now.

It is very late, but

| | Comments (0)

It is very late, but i just wanted to point to this cool-ass sony computer
. This is so close to what i'd ideally like in a portable computer. Something
about that size, as a "slate", with pen input, external keyboard, built-in
802.11, etc etc. Getting closer all the time...

I know tony is going

I know tony is going to post this too, but it is pretty funny, especially considering our history with LARP's - COLORS, the SUPERHERO LARP. It pains me.

I know this was on

| | Comments (0)

I know this was on Slashdot, but i wanted to point
to it from here too. Its a letter from a Peruvian Congressman to the local
GM of Microsoft. Apparently, the government is passing a law that will require
all software purchased for the public sector to meet certain requirements,
mostly that it be 'free' and 'open source'. Microsoft sent a letter to the
Congressman, and this is his reply. My god, it is one of the best, most clearly
articulated refutations of FUD
that i've ever read. I urge you to read it all, its well worth it. There
were many comments at Slashdot to the effect that they wished they could
have representatives as eloquent as him.

UPDATE i had to redirect the url to the letter - it was reposted by somebody on slashdot.

New bunch of pages up

New bunch of pages up at Demonology 101. Pretty good, making people wait 2 weeks between posts - its got to be good if i remember to go and check!

Ok, I know that this

| | Comments (0)

Ok, I know that this will have gotten so much press that you all are probably sick of hearing about it, but what is up with the SonicBlue deal
? How is allowing the users of the PVR to skip over commercials any different
then the users of VCR's fast-forwarding over the same commercials? Its just
that its easier. Funny how the bigCo's like to say that the market can control
itself, and the government should stay out of business, except when the bigCo's
want help to protect their profits! Why don't they try to figure out how
to use the new technology to enable new revenue streams? Find out what we
customers really want - like, good, quality shows. I bet folks don't begrudge
paying for HBO, considering the quality of entertainment they get. Put it
together, figure it out.

Scottie, the Baker and others survived GWAR last night. Scottie got a bloody gash. On his head. From being hit with a guitar.

Hey, Brian from Detroit Industrial

| | Comments (0)

Hey, Brian from Detroit Industrial Underground is quoted in an article about the Save Internet Radio Marathon. Very cool. He also has some info at his News
page. I hope that there is enough pressure to stop the CARP bill from passing
as is. I don't know what effect it would have on us up here in Canada, but
I'm sure it would be bad...

You thought it would never happen - the geeks get organized! I think this is a great idea, a geek lobby for congress. We should try to get something like this going up here... Update - an article about the GeekPAC.
