Had an appointment with my optometrist today. She did the glaucoma test, which involves putting drops into your eyes, “freezing” them, then checking the pressure of your eyeball. Now, the test itself isn’t so bad, because of the drops, you can’t feel anything. But the drops themselves make your eyes feel weird. And if my eyes feel weird, i start to freak out a bit. I’m very sensitive about my eyes. But it only lasts for 10 or 15 minutes, so i’m over it now. Mostly.
My other ache is my calves, due to over dancing with Conor while listening to aggressive industrial tunes. I just couldn’t stop jumping around with him, he was having so much fun! Unfortunately, due to my abysmal physical condition, 3 days later and my legs and calves are still sore.

I’ve been very busy since starting at TVO last week. The stuff i’m working on at TVO is interesting and challenging, keeping my brain working all day long. I haven’t had as much left-over brain power in the evenings to work on some of my other projects, which is a bit of a bummer. Our weekends have also been booked to the hilt, although this is the last of the “summer” weekends with something going on, so i hope to do some programming on the following weekends.
Conor has had no problem getting into the four days at day-care routine. Even switching over to Ciara dropping him off in the morning only took two days. He is just getting so much better at handling new situations. I could go on and gush about all the other great stuff he is doing, but i don’t want to bore you too much!

Newscasters, sick of official lies and stonewalling, finally start snarling. By Jack Shafer
Lots of action going on in the back halls of 114 Claremont. Just nothing to share with all our adoring fans.
I start a 6 month full time contract with TVO on Wednesday, which is a pretty big change from how things have been going here.
Other goodies too, but again, nothing to show… yet.
And yes, lots of photos, no time… Maybe i should just pack it in and upload them to flickr and be done with it - at least you could see them then… Let me check that out. Ok, i’ve put up 5 photos here.
It really is easy to use Flickr.
