2021-02-01T20:00:15-05:00 Welp, here we go. Another blog-thing that i am excited about but will likely not actually keep up with :) 2021-02-01T20:14:00-05:00 Just did a post on the blog about twtxt and klog, both new, to me!, plain-text tools! http://www.theorganization.net/archive/2021/02/01.html 2021-02-01T20:22:42-05:00 I think the easiest thing to do is to just edit the text file directly, rather than using the `twtxt tweet` command. 2021-02-01T20:23:00-05:00 Got a short-cut expander for the date-time, good to go! 2021-02-01T20:28:37-05:00 And now i have it in NotationVelocity with all my other text stuff. Joy. 2021-02-01T21:09:38-05:00 Working on how to quickly access emoji 👍. Now i just have to remember to do so. Also look into linking to images... Although i guess that isn't what this is "for"... 2021-02-02T00:00:33-05:00 @ (re Twtxt spec) Would this make the `twtxt.txt` file like an append only log? Does that allow one to use HTTP Range requests? 2021-02-02T08:32:43-05:00 @ (re Twtxt spec) Right, for your underlaying DB. I was more thinking of folks still using just the plain-text twtxt, it would just be a most-recent-activity appended to the "bottom" of the text file, allowing for the use of some HTTP headers so you don't have to DL the whole file... More state to keep track of on the client however. 2021-02-02T08:52:08-05:00 @ (old clients) I'm also not sure why i keep seeing, in your web-feed, that i keep subscribing to the news user. Is that something on my side, using the https://github.com/buckket/twtxt client? 2021-02-02T15:23:02-05:00 @ (old clients) Ok good to know. 2021-02-02T15:23:31-05:00 @ (re Twtxt spec) yeah, i get it, that is how i followed you via the link in your profile/bio page. But, as you mentioned, the spec does not require an order to the tweets/posts/lines in the text file. And i can *totally* see how having it be in order, newest at the bottom, could help with bandwith/traffic in a big way. 2021-02-02T15:28:28-05:00 (#abusing_the_hashtag) Just wondering how hard you can abuse the auto-linking subject hashtags. 2021-02-02T15:42:00-05:00 @ (#twtxt_v2) What is the canonical repo of the twtxt "spec"? Is there one? Can we just sort of publish an rfc for v2.0? How many folks are still using twtxt? 2021-02-02T17:07:04-05:00 @ (#twtxt_v2) Ok, cool. That is what i will take as v2... I also like the "meta data" some feeds have behind `#`s as well. "Front Matter" style. 2021-02-02T17:11:21-05:00 Today was a day that i had to work against my desires for 🍩🍩🍩🍩. 2021-02-03T08:42:38-05:00 @ ((#sjgxtdq) This is another example of a more "focused" search engine -- https://searchmysite.net -- Interesting to think about how a twtxt.txt file could be indexed... 2021-02-03T10:39:28-05:00 One of the games my company is working on is being demoed on steam now. Check it out if you are into chill puzzle play -- https://store.steampowered.com/app/1481000/Triversal/ #games 2021-02-03T11:06:03-05:00 Bah, i'm a couple hours early -- the free demo will be available in a couple hours, apologies for the early post, over-excited! 2021-02-03T16:45:36-05:00 @ @ (#5k5whea) Ok, added to the VHosts block, and it seems to be responding correctly for me now, let me know if it is for you too. 2021-02-03T16:49:54-05:00 @ @ (#c5cw6rq) ![animated gif of Triversal game play](https://cdn.cloudflare.steamstatic.com/steam/apps/1481000/extras/123_Large_Number_Outline_With_Glow_RESIZED_FOR_STEAM.gif)
